Intelligent Shared Leisure E-assist Two-wheelers Fully Deployed Along Rhine River Scenic Area in Germany to Boost Cultur

2026-07-13
a 5A-level scenic area along Germany’s Rhine River completed full supporting upgrade of shared mobility. Motor vehicles are banned on lakeside footpaths. Walking takes too long, while ordinary bicycles struggle with climbing slopes. Operators introduced domestically-made intelligent shared leisure e-assist bikes to build a time-sharing rental cycling system.
The lightweight low-step frames are easy for the elderly and teenagers to mount and dismount. Three power assist modes adapt to undulating lakeside ramps, and detachable lithium batteries deliver an 85km range. Integrated smart locks, electronic fence fixed return points and multi-language scan mini-programs support one-day cycling packages and bundled scenic spot combined tickets. All vehicles pass EU CE and L1e compliance certifications with waterproof and dustproof performance for rainy climates.
After deployment, each bike completes 9 rental cycles on average every day, lakeside cycling tourist volume rises by 26% month-on-month, and secondary consumption of catering and cultural creative products in the scenic area increases by 19%. Three standardized battery swap stations were newly built, and the scenic area plans to expand the service to all 6 tributary scenic spots along the Rhine River in the second half of the year.
