A hospital in a remote area of Guizhou is equipped with 3 modified electric passenger tricycles as "rural medical transport vehicles", serving 12 remote villages under its jurisdiction. These villages are located in mountainous areas, and some sections can only be accessed by small vehicles. In the past, when villagers had sudden illnesses, ambulances could not arrive quickly, resulting in low transport efficiency.

Based on the original passenger transport function, some seats of the transport vehicles have been removed, and simple stretcher fixing devices, first-aid kits and small oxygen cylinders have been added. The body is painted with a striking "medical transport" logo and emergency phone number. The health center arranges medical staff to work as part-time drivers, on call 24 hours a day. For non-emergency situations such as colds, fevers and chronic disease rechecks, it provides transport services from villages to the health center, with a one-way fare of 20-50 yuan. In case of sudden acute illnesses, the transport vehicle can first arrive at the scene for preliminary treatment and then escort the patient to the health center, buying time for treatment. Last winter, an elderly person in a village had a sudden heart attack, and the transport vehicle arrived at the scene in 15 minutes and promptly sent the elderly person to the health center for treatment. According to statistics, the transport vehicles serve more than 600 villagers annually, effectively improving medical accessibility in remote areas.
