Wuxi Shouqu Technology Rolls Out AI Recreational E-Bikes in Bulk to Offline Channels

2026-09-07

Background: The domestic recreational e-bike segment is intensifying with price wars on ordinary commuter models. Brands are pivoting toward AI-powered smart recreational differentiation. Having secured a new round of financing, Shouqu Technology needed to rapidly deploy its AI-sensing recreational e-bikes to offline experience stores, targeting suburban outings and urban leisure cycling. Solution: Partner factories in Wuxi and Changzhou kicked off production of the first batch of 2,000 AI recreational e-bikes. The vehicles feature riding-environment perception and slope-adaptive power assist, balancing urban commuting with suburban leisure. A "store experience + offline in-stock" model was adopted rather than pure e-commerce, with priority placement at stores near cultural tourism spots and urban leisure cycling venues. Results: The first batch was allocated to core Yangtze River Delta stores, targeting weekend leisure riders. The product avoids the low-price commuter red ocean, with per-unit margins higher than ordinary national-standard e-bikes. This validates the commercial viability of AI + recreational mobility and accumulates supply-chain experience for a future recreational tricycle version.
